The secret is in the suspension

Up until now other products available on the market require agitation due to the solid required components of the catalysts sinking after manufacture and before being added to fuel. This has been solved in conjunction with Eindhoven university creating an additive where required aspects of the additive a fully suspended in dilution allowing for directing adding to the fuel source.

OptiFuel has four main components. Three of the components are catalysts, the final is a solvent carrier that enables the catalysts to blend freely with petroleum distillate fuels such as diesel and petrol, as well as other liquid fuels such as hydrotreated vegetable oil, biodiesel, and bunker fuel. The catalysts reduce the energy input required to initiate and propagate combustion, improving combustion efficiency and engine torque. In the exhaust stream, the catalysts reduce unwanted emissions such as Particulates/Soot and NOx via a chemical reduction process similar to Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) but without the need to inject ammonia or urea into the exhaust stream post-combustion. Here is a compilation of the observed test results from the trials that OptiFuel has undergone. Depending on the interests of the individuals performing the trials, some trials were for fuel economy only while others took a more comprehensive approach and tested fuel economy and emission reductions.

No Harm Test. A major concern for vehicle operators and their Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) suppliers is the potential for damage to the fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines.

The components of OptiFuel are REACH compliant and do not degrade or otherwise alter the physical characteristics of diesel fuel. Diesel that conforms to standards such as EN 590, ASTM D975 or SANS 342 will still conform to the standard after addition of OptiFuel.

In Europe the relevant standard for diesel EN 590 remains in place after the addition of OptiFuel.
